June Lunch & Learn - Loving Through the Walls: Families Fighting Against Mass Incarceration

This Lunch & Learn is designed to highlight family members who are supporting incarcerated loved ones while also learning how to navigate and challenge the systems connected to mass incarceration. Too often families become invisible victims of incarceration. Mothers, fathers, partners, children, siblings, grandparents, and close friends are expected to carry emotional, financial, legal, and spiritual burdens without support, guidance, or acknowledgment. Families are frequently forced to become investigators, advocates, counselors, fundraisers, transportation coordinators, emotional anchors, and legal learners overnight.

This conversation recognizes families not as “visitors” to the movement, but as essential leaders within it.
